In year 4 with Gazoo my handling was 67%.In the previous year my chief designer had 5 skill level and chief engineer had 3 skill level.My facilities Cad, Cam and supercomputer were level 5.My current engineer is level 4.What can be done to improve even further my handling?Can anyone tell me what does the workshop do? Also I had problems with the game at monaco where game crashed frequently when generating race results.Loading an older save and doing a race again fixed the problem.I hope this does not happen again.

Dont forget that this is an old game for Windows 98 PCs. Crash can and will always randomly come. Turn off the ingame music helps abit. Sounds like you get that error when he tries to load the music after the race. For the handling: just keep on! with good chief designer and engineer, your progress will be seen soon! 67% the season before sounds like a winning car already. dont let yourself get demotivated by a year with a crap car. this can hit even the best F1 teams!

I won the championship with 67% handling but I didn't win a single race,only positions 2,3.I have done a lot of save and load and this is kind of cheating.Is it possible to play the game without save/load ?this seems so very difficult with a crap team like Gazoo.Still the game has many random changes.For example morale was very hard to raise from the 60%. Also in negotiations there is a lot of random.Also the offers from engine manufacturers and the chance of offer from team sponsor are random.

Also I am glad to have found this mod, many thanks for people that made it.

Hey there, I wanted to give some constructive feedback to the mod again. In my opinion the range of rain weather skill is quite high. In rainy conditions top drivers lap up to 4 times the end of the grid. Maybe it's possible to reduce it a litte bit. But maybe other people don't agree. Idk
Maybe the bigger problem of the vanilla game is the huge reaction time to changed weather conditions. I think both effects accumulated, simplify the game too much. In these races it's all about timing

Hello everyone, I don't know if this is only me but i can't save games... May someone fix this?? Create a new folder in the main directory of your GPW game and call it "Save". |

hi. absolute great work, but havent played game for a long time, and rusty on the setup.
ive downloaded the 21' mod, not the remastered one, just the original. in the game, it's got lance stroll as mexican and has his ratings vastly superior to vettel etc. other drivers nationalities are all wrong.
is this an error, or do i have to patch the save game etc still? cant really remember how to do this
hope you can help, as would love to get back into this. I used to create all new driver pics etc.

I used to create all new driver pics etc. I just downloaded the mod in the first post with the mediafire link, uncompressed the zip and opened "gpw.exe" and the nationalities are correct and Vettel's stats are better than Stroll's.
Stats are stored in the gpw.exe in the mod you downloaded. So you might be using a different gpw.exe, file which reverts everything back to 1998, while using the text from one of the language files.

Problem now is, I had to delete everything, and start again. I’ve installed the game again, but now it’s not loading up and when I click the gpw, it’s saying ‘please login with administrator privileges’. I’ve tried clicking on run as administrator but it doesn’t resolve it.
What’s the issue? Thanks.

Move the whole folder to somewhere in Local Disk (C:). Some folder locations like program files or the default download directory, might not have permmision to run some .exe files.

Yeah, done that, but still doesn’t work. I remember having some patches for compatibility, but think I deleted them a while ago.

May someone help me again? My launch app is missing when i want to restart a saved game. Has this ever happened to someone else? And if so, how did you fix the problem?

Good question, do you still have the winrar file of it? If you do, extract the launch thing from that and try to launch it with the new and replaced one. |
