Starting a conversation on what might be a contentious area - a bullet-proof strategy guide for Grand Prix World.
Watching some YouTubers (such as Definitely Zero) their viewpoint would be that while you can work out the underlying mechanics of how the game operates, it's somehow not in the spirit of the game to reduce the game to a numbers exercise.
As you may have surmised, my viewpoint is different - I think knowing exactly how much you need to invest to (e.g.) secure improvement in a sponsor deal, or to get your testing bars full for each category then gives you a platform to make interesting trade-offs - you know exactly what things cost so you're able to ask what adds more value.
So my question is - does such a strategy guide already exist? And if not, would it be deemed heresy to use this thread to share learnings as I (hopefully!) discover them?
To share some things I'd be interested to map out:
1. How to maximise your commercial team (e.g. what is the minimum you need to put on a title sponsor to snap them up quickly? how do you work out which sponsors are really warm towards you?) 2. How can you estimate ahead of time how much testing you need to do in order to top out every testing category? 3. When does it become inefficient to continue hiring staff?

1. The quickest way to get title sponsors is to use 2 or 3 succses bonuses (once your team wins alot). Without bonuses you will need 70% staff assigned to the title sponsor. I heard from a lets play that current sponsors are easier to sign.
To start, you can also use 30%+ of commercial stafft for licensing both clothing and fan club. 5% can go on each sponsor until licensing deals are signned.
2. Once you have 4 or 5 rated Cheif's in each department, R&D/4th car and a test rig, you can start reducing the ammout of laps done, staff or driver focus on setup and development.
You can carry over any research to the next race weekend, meanning you can start the next years car design when it is legal to start the design stage use last gp's research points and get a 2nd set of research from this weekend test.
3. Once car development/technology progress lasts one race weekend, you won't notice a difference hiring more staff and you will just end up paying more people, with no extra time saved.
A successful team can earn success bonuses nearly every race, so you don't need to hire more commercial staff.
