Figured I would spend some time updating a random career in GPW. Started with Prost and had a great first season. First half of the year nothing happene,d we were mostly at the back, Ferrari's and McLarens were bulletproof, Benettons were not... at all. As a result, Hakkinen took the title from DC& Irvine, Schumacher had a poor year, and Jordan took 3rd with only about 30 points! We managed to steal 4th thanks to Panis and wet weather setups getting him a win and a pole and giving us 18 points (gives you an idea of how bad Benetton and Williams had been).
Wanted to keep the vision of Prost alive though and make sure we stayed French. Kept Peugeot on and signed deals with Michelin & Esso. Signed Ralf Schumacher as #1 and promoted Sarrazin to #2. Brought in Gary Anderson on the technical side who progressed to 4*.
Meanwhile, DC and Hakkinen couldnt find a drive... SO irvine took #1 to Jordan. Schumacher ended up at Benetton with Magnussen. Hill and Takagi werre at Williams and Frentzen and Rosset were at McLaren.

Below are images of how the season turned out, but a quick review.
Things started off poorly for us with Sarrazin failing to qualify in the wet in Brazil and Ralf's brakes failing, we only had a 35% rated chassis so were near the back generally, our best Result up to Monaco being a 9th in Canada thanks to upgraded engines and largely due to just ralf. By Monaco Villenueve and Frentzen were level on 38 points, but I was sure Villeneuve would pull away, 4 finishes, he either won or came 3rd, Frentzen was just slightly more consistent, the most consistent of all being MS and the bottom of the points - Benetton were not good.
Monaco we brought an upgraded chassis, and changing conditions in the race saw Ralf in the points, only for his car to give up the ghost, Sarrazin was essentially just filler, once again giving a DNQ at Austria, Meanwhile JV won Monaco and Canada only for Frentzen to win the next 2, crazily at this point the only person near them was Rosset. Germany was where it got really interesting, the Jordans had been on the podium and Panis and Herbert in their Arrows and Tyrrell has swept up a couple of points. But Germany you can always steal a result by 1 stopping, we just didnt have the pace and came home 8th and 9th, but Panis in his Arrows, 1 stopped and took a win! I know I should have kept him, Redon didnt score all year but Panis collected a couple of 5ths at the end of the season and dragged Arrows to 6th in constructors. It all went wrong for JV, the last 5 races he took home 15 points to Frentzens 32 and had to fend off a late surge from Hill who won 2 of the last 3 races.
A crazy Belgian GP saw Herbert in his Tyrrell take second ahead of Magnussens Benetton in 3rd (half his points tally) but by now we were approaching wet races and had a fully upgraded engine and a 48% chassis, the wet weather allowing Ralf to finish off with a 4th, 6th and 3rd. Leaving us 8th, ahead of Stewart who were unlucky, I feel like Wurz spent most of his season massively outperforming his car and rounded off with 3 points.
Frenzten was dominant in quali though, 10 poles and a world championship, hoping with the new car next year we can spoil the party a little more.
