Hey Guys! Most of the mods are not for Veedubs .exe and are not usable anymore, or with many crashes and/or wrong datas. So I decided to rewrite the lovely 1994 mod. The Painting of the Cars, the Driver Images, everything on this mod was just insanly good and it would be a pitty if nobody could play it anymore. So i rewrote it.
I corrected every driver Age, Nationality, Skill, Salery, Driver Roles etc etc etc. I set the statistic for every Driver to 0. I edited every teams car handling. Every engine has now realistic properties. The difference between the engines is big. Having a Renault Enginge or a too heavy weighted Yamaha is a big thing now. I edited the Tyre properties. If Bridgestone joins, you can have a real Tyre war. I also edited the non-F1 drivers. Whatever Team you manage, it is now worth to look for a non-F1 driver even in the midseason. Some of them like Mansell are very good, also some talents. And some can bring in Money to survive.
All in one, i brought a whole new gameplay to the 1994 mod and i hope you can enjoy it. BIG BIG BIG thanks to the original 1994 Mod creater whoever he is. His paintings are just perfect and i hope if he see them still be used, he will be happy.
Heres the new 1994 Mod Version 2:

Yeah the Chassis is not awesome. But financially, you have at least one good enough season to build up the team again. Its a Challange in the technical way. Happy that you found the first Challange! I builded some more into it. One Team is very hard to survive with the financial situation. But there is a way out^^ And another has a Driver Problem. But there is a way out^^ I placed some non F1 drivers that should fit to the most Teams and a spare Driver for every Team. I wanted to keep up longtime motivation. Happy you enjoy it :-)

Thanks for this - this is superb. I will also add that this install will also work on MacOS using Wine. (Except on OS Catalina, as it is a 32-bit program)

If you get this running in MacOS, please share it with us. I will upload it to my Server so its saved for the future. It runs on macOS through a program called Wine. winebottler.kronenberg.orgYou don't need to add anything to the mod/download, just install Wine and then run the gpw.exe At the moment, it will not run on macOS Catalina (the latest OS) as it is only a 64bit OS, whereas they Wine is still a 32bit program. Soon, they will upgrade. For now, you must have macOS Mojave or lower to run. I will update you if this changes.

Hey Stewart Grand Prix, did you have any sort of problems during your gameplay with Wine? I just started playing in my Linux Ubuntu, also with Wine, and everything went fine, the menus, everything. But then, race 1 at Melbourne, the game suddenly crashed when one of my drivers tried to overtake and broke his front wing, thus prompting the yellow flag. I was able to see the crash and he retiring. Then the grame crashed. I was so frustrated. Does it mean that I have to rely on crash free races? Or, even worse, simulate the races? I wouldnt want this, cause Ive found it amazing to micro manage race pace and strategy... It would ruin the game for me... so sad

lucasfawkes the bug you describe sounds like a common bug with the game Try using GPW Edit 1.0 to upgrade the game and disable yellow flags. And then try the game again under Wine in Ubuntu. I haven't tried it myself but really interesting to hear that this is now possible. I would like to get the game working on Ubuntu and Windows 11 (if it isn't already working).
