Due to a recent surge in spambot activity (if you can call two-three bots in one week a "surge"), I've set it so that all new accounts are manually reviewed before being allowed to interact with the forum in any way. So if you've invited someone over and they can't access the forum despite registering, it's most likely that their account just hasn't been reviewed yet.
