In those folders there is one called "check", because I noticed that those season are double... The readme is the same but I've never tried them so yeah, I don't know if those are only a copy of the official ones in my folder "seasons" or if they have something different If someone tries them and sees if they are the same let me know so I can delete them

Hey, I've uploaded a zipped version of my GPW file. Contains veedubs latest patch (with design calculation a different performance curve) all driver roles filled, all suppliers available from start of game. Only issue is Verstappen is french but eh.

Ignore the GPW file in there, just some random 98 update i had, its older than the updated version I included in last upload.

Run the setup first. Don't bother pressing "upgrade game" as .exe i gave you is already upgraded. tab you'll probably be most interested in is the game exe editor, allows you to change driver stats etc. Configure game allows you to change scoring system (which i believe I tested and does affect save game, so you can run to 2003 with old points then change to 10-8-6)

How to install:
1. Install season patch over GPW.
2. Open gpw.exe (change compatibility after right clicking the gpw.exe and selecting properties)
3. Choose a team, save a game and exit.
4. Patch the save with Gpw Patch and the .cst file in the C:/…/GPW/”gpwpatch” folder.
5. Now you can load the save in gpw.exe or the gpwxp.exe

I have managed to get 2000 using Veedubs editor. But it was a massive amount of effort.

Basically you get a patched exe, run the mod installer. Copy the patched .exe over the mod editor, which will now ruin all the drivers statistics. You now have to use the 1b Lexx editor to re-edit all the stats.

Took ages, as such I have 2000 updated with the new exe, with these files could do it with some others.

Yeah all the Mods cant be used on Windows 10. You need to use Veedubs Editor to patch the .exe and then the Mod is not usefull anymore. Because of this i rewrote the 1994 Mod. The other Deal is, that the most Mods are brilliant in painting. Good Cars, Driver Pictures etc but they have still the old Driver Ages, Skils, Car Performance etc from 1998. So its up to us to edit all the Mods and rewrite them for Windows 10. My 2018 and the 1994 Mod are the first one. By the moment the 2020 Season starts, i will do a 2020 Mod. its now not usefull since we dont know how good the Cars are.

There are two install files.  One is to start a new gpw game with the season data from the correctly numbered install eg - GPW_2002_2002order.  The other one will only upgrade the graphics after 1998 till the end of the game eg - GPW_2002_1998order.

The mods work best with Windows 95/98/XP, as long as the included gpw.exe is opened, is the only way to the right information is loaded.  The preview screens included in the downloads will show the edited teams budget, wins, previous years points, 1st/Debut GP and the start year is changed after choosing to mange a team.

Any later versions of windows require a new compatible gpw.exe to be made and it will again have to be edited to avoid having the 1998 information again with the new cars, driver portraits and menu images.

This will sound dumb haha but I finally get the 1998 season order thing. So I could in theory carry on a game as usual but have Tyrrell become BAR in 99

It's possible to have all teams change idenities and owners with that exe update.  Stewart to Jaguar.  The Prost team is replaced by Toyota.  Install the required update just before you start the next season.  I couldn't stand the same 1998 season for ten years

This sounds like a major problem the creator of the GPWedit is here in the board. i hope he reads this.
I have problems with the newest GPWedit version, too. Because of this i still use Version 1

Can anyone help me? i want to play the 2001 or the 2006. In the 2001 appears an error with win32 and with the 2006 the problem is i can´t import it with the GPW 1.0 editor and there´s no other way to change the 16 bits executabe. any idea?

if you want to play a mod,dont ever copy the .exe,you need the patched exe,although the drivers stats,ages,driver countries are randomized,you need to edit that,and use Lexxeditors to change engines contract and starting year

There is the new source, the old server is not longer online. We had to switch to a bigger server because of the GPMonline project. So people like alfikhoazka have to change the link in the threads where they developed mods with a download source from my server.

Don't get an Error message - it tries to launch and then just changes it's mind. Screen goes black, then back to desktop as if nothing happened...


Whilst we're at it can anyone point me at a reliable HEX editor with a DL link? thanks

do you increase the 9th team car sponsors? i think it was Tyrrell,dont do anything about the empty sponsor slot,it ruined the game

You can find one from a search in a search engine or browser.  I'm no expert on using them.

Fixed it, yes this was the issue.

And fixed up the messed up colours, its the teams 3 letter code that cant change, but as far as I can tell it's not represented anywhere else.

Pay drivers is still messed up, i'd re-done 97 and they worked first couple of times, theres some value that I change somewhere that messed it up. But with a decent amount of testing i've set driver/sponsor values so first season is still a challenge, and 2nd season a non-F1 driver usually becomes a pay driver, so that + partner engine makes it ok.

So now i've re-done 97, 98, 00 and 03 mods with the new exe. So uses new calculations but has all the graphics that Simul has done - happy to upload these if anyone is intersted.

99 will be next...

The seasons 1994 to 2010 mods need better cars. It won't take long as I can just work over the old cars. When done, I can just create bmp's or png's and anyone remastering the mods can use them and save them as .ppm's.

I am currently creating cars for the 1995 mod, just like I did with the 2020 season. Made 1995 Forti, Tyrrell (2 versions), Minardi and Footwork.
