Hi there, i recently got interested in this game, i have seen that there are many mods and programs to edit the drivers stats and more stuff, so as i'm literally new to this, i need a bit of help about how to install those mods and also if these editing programs still work in OS like windows 10. I'd really appreciate any help you give me

The Editing tools still work. The best is Veedubs GPWedit. It is written for modern Windows Systems. But Lexxeditor works, too if you dont use Veebubs Editor first.
To install the 2018 Mod, just copy and unzip it into your GPW folder. Start the game and enjoy. Thats it. Copy and past :-)

Hey, I've uploaded a zipped version of my GPW file. Contains veedubs latest patch (with design calculation a different performance curve) all driver roles filled, all suppliers available from start of game. Only issue is Verstappen is french but eh. I am using Windows 10, and eventually want to try mods, but first i need to make the game work. When i try to open your Gpw file it says: "%s%s%sdevices Try enabling the reference rasterizer by executing EnableRefRast.reg". I tried putting the ddraw.dll file to make it work, tried dxwnd, same thing happens. I used to have a working Gpw file, using PSLutonrules tutorial, and it worked, but couldnt use any mods because for some reason there was no physical file of my save. When I entered the game the save was there, but no save file to patch, any reason why that was happening also? |

the devices error massage is a typical error when you try to start GPW without a .exe that is patched with veedubs editor. but i cant understand this in your situation because as far as i understand, you used the files that jops uploaded and he said it IS updated with veedubs editor 0_o

Yeah, i legit have no idea what is going on. If anyone can male a legit tutorial of how to install this game and how to install mods step by step, it would be greatly apretiated, i cannot find anything exept Luton’s tutorial and that doesnt cover everything,

Not sure how to help, exe i uploaded is patched so works on windows 10. Try running as admin? definitely using gow.exe not gpw_orig

That, and DO NOT use compatiblity mode anymore are the 2 advices i can give to him. Still running compatiblity mode AND using a .exe that is patches, caused the crash for me too. Tested it and my game crashed with an error that is typically for a non patched .exe

You sir, are a geniouS. Thank you so much, it worked! I tried it before but got stuck in the Fia logo, but this time it worked. Still can´t play with any mods apart form the 94 pne that you rewrote (thank you for that too btw) |

You can play more mods. The 2018 Mod is also already updated for new Windows 10 PCs. Happy that you can play now!
